Our first club night of 2023 marked our annual awards evening with the prize-giving for the best of 2022.

Our 2022 award winners are from left to right;

Steve Narey – Best Printed Image,

Ceri Way – Most Improved,

Des Traynor – The Dick Roberts trophy for nature photography,

Dave Wilkinson – Best DPI and Photographer of the Year.

New Chairman and President for 2023

We recently held our AGM, during which our current Chairman Colin Godber decided to step down after 5 very successful years at the helm.

Our President Jenny also stepped down and it seemed only fitting that Colin be proposed as our new club President.

Following these changes we are delighted to announce Alex McGregor was voted in as our new Chairman with Steve Narey taking his place as internal competition secretary.

We wish them all every success into 2023

2022 is shaping up to be a Great Photography Year

Following a tricky 18 months with lockdowns and restrictions which heavily governed what our members were able to achieve we are looking forward to a much more positive 2022.

The committee have created a much more varied schedule with plenty of club nights, guest speakers, trips out along with the external competitions back in full swing.

As always we welcome new members, lets have a great 2022 for photography.

New Members into 2021 despite the lockdowns

25/03/2021 - Despite the ongoing ups and downs of national lockdowns Pocklington Camera Club continues to thrive.

We have welcomed new members through 2020 into 2021 and they have participated in our monthly theme competitions through our continued use of our new website platforms.

We are looking forward to meeting our new members at club nights with restrictions lifted.
